What are some opinions on the Lee majors hearing aid?

The way it is sold is misleading: $14.95 (+S&H) to try it and then 3 payments of $99.95 to keep it (over $300 per aid)!! A better solution may be the Acoustitone hearing aid: doctor designed, FDA approved hearing aid for under $200.

I have no affiliation with the manufacturer and I can tell you it is NOT a scam. My elderly mother, over the course of years, had tried several types of hearing aids, from $19.95 gizmos supposed to pick up nearby conversations to ones that cost thousands and were fitted by a medical professional after taking molds of her ears. I had helped her with every one, trying to get the best performance of out them. (Without a hearing aid she has to play the TV so loud I have a hard time watching it with her.)

Unfortunately, all of them were either not comfortable or didn't improve her hearing much. I had pretty much given up when she called me up and said, "Oh, the Six Million Dollar Man is selling a hearing aid on TV." I laughed and felt bad that Lee Majors was down to hawking hearing aids on TV but to humor her (and because of their money back guarantee) I said, what the heck, we'll try it.

I was as shocked as anybody to hear my mother say they are the best hearing aids she's ever tried. Apparently they are VERY comfortable. For about six months afterwards, my mother was constantly thanking me for the hearing aids, saying it was the best purchase I ever made. Believe it or not my only complaint is that they work TOO well. Now I have to tell her to RAISE the friggin' volume because when she is using them! LOL. I just asked her and she said she gets over 7 hours of use from one charge but she only uses one at a time and pulls the second one (fully-charged) out of the case when she needs it.
