A simple party with a theme is your answer. I once did a very successful "mystery" party. We had four or five "mystery" games. One game as to contact each mother of the guests, and get a baby picture. Have the kids solve the "mystery" of which baby picture belongs to which kid. We gave magnifying glasses as the prizes, and most popular of all, had the kids follow clues to find the cake!
