why do sedidimentary rocks have so many layers it is very hard rock and i think it is made of silicon
Examples of sedimentary rock include:BauxiteLimestoneDolostoneBrecciaConglomerateShaleMudstoneBituminous CoalSandstoneHaliteGypsumChalkCoquinaLateriteArkoseGraywackeClaystoneSiltstoneChertTypes include clastic (cemented sediment particles), non-clastic (chemical precipitates or evaporites), and organic (from organisms, e.g. coal). Some will further divide sedimentary rocks into another type called bioclastic, rocks formed from clasts of organic matter (like sea shells).
There is a gallery of differing sedimentary rock types on the About.com website. Please see the related link.
ORGANIC SEDIMENTARY ROCK`s : Is a type of sedimentary rock because sedimentary rock has three types of sedimentary rock called clastic , chemical , and organic sedimentary rock so yes ORGANIC SEDIMENTARY ROCK is a type of sedimentary rock..........................................
To change a sedimentary rock to a metamorphic rock, you change it by time, heat, and pressure.
Clastic sedimentary rock.
Some sedimentary rock is formed this way; chemical sedimentary rock formed from evaporites, like rock salt, and rock gypsum.
No. If a sedimentary rock has undergone even a low grade metamorphism, it is considered a metamorphic rock.
a mushroom rock is not a sedimentary rock.
Fossils are nearly always found in some type of sedimentary rock. Limestone is a sedimentary rock which very commonly contains fossils, as is coal.
It is then sedimentary rock.
Mechanically formed sedimentary rock , Chemically formed sedimentary rock and Organically formed sedimentary rock.
Sedimentary rock can be formed from lithified sediments.
