There are tons of positions within a grocery retail company.

As far as at a specific retail location or store, there are:

Managers:

Store Manager

Assistant Manager

Grocery Manager

Customer Service Sales Manager

Assistant Customer Service Sales Manager

Manager of Produce

Meat Market Manager

Deli/Baker Manager

Frozen Food and Dairy Manager

Associates:

Sales Associates (Cashiers)

Service Associates (Baggers)

Grocery Associate (Stockers)

Office assistant

Scan Analyst

DSD Receivers

HBC Department

Produce Department

Meat Department

Deli/Bakery

FFD Department

Pet care departments

Wine and Beer Departments

Pharmacy

Security

That is in the store alone. However there are tons of other positions available in a grocery company that are not in one specific store (ie. Warehouse workers, truck drivers, district managers, CEO, president, marketing directors)

Grocery Store Workers

This question can be answered two ways. First, it could list the types of people who work in grocery stores. Second, it can list the types of positions a grocery store has.

Grocery stores employ people of all working ages from teenagers who are working their first part-time job, to senior citizens who are working after retiring from another job. Moms, dads, aunts, uncles, sons, daughters, and any other relative you can think of are employees of grocery stores. People of all nationalities and races work at grocery stores. Some employees are working to get extra money, while others are working to support a family. The list could go on and on.

Grocery stores have a wide variety of positions. Managers and Assistant Managers are responsible for the operations of the entire store and all of its departments, and Departments Heads (titles vary from company to company) are responsible for the various departments.

Departments may include: Customer Service (working in the Customer Service Department and as cashiers), Meat and Seafood (separate in larger groceries), Deli and Bakery (often separate), Stock, Grocery, Floral, Dairy, Frozen Foods, etc.
