Wind turbines
Wind energy is harnessed by windmills and wind turbines. These are very expensive to build and buy. Therefore, not every country in the world is able to afford it. Also, since winds do not always blow in the same area, wind energy is sometimes not produced. In some seasons and areas, there are very light winds, thus not producing a lot of energy.
Solar, Wind, Water. geothermal, tidal, ocean energy etc
Some of the sun's energy is converted into wind and water waves. Most of the sun's energy are absorbed by the primary producers.
While wind energy is a clean form of energy, it does have its drawbacks. Some of the negatives of wind energy are noise, the fact that wind isn't predictable, and that it is only suitable to areas with landscapes which get plenty of wind year round.
Some do and some do not
A wind mill does generate some heat but primarily it converts the kinetic energy in the wind into electrical energy.
Are expensive to make Need lot of space to plant windmills. Very reliant on the wind - no wind no energy.
