First when your hair curler is hot enough depending on how thick or thin your hair is you should take the heatprotectant and put it on your hair so your hair doesn't burn then you take smaller pieces of your hair and grab the end of your piece of hair and put the end of it in the curler at the back of the curler and then curl the piece of hair toward the top of the curler and hold it there for a few seconds and then get your hairspray and spray the curl before releasing the curl from the curler
