hmmm... not an easy one to answer- its an unusual book. It has a dreamlike quality to it and reads like an allegory. Essentially it is the story of a family-different individuals, how they interact and events that involve them- over a period of one hundred years. The author mixes the mundane with the sublime in a pleasing, memorable way Its a good read- strange and haunting- i hope you like it.
