What are some registry cleaners?

There are a number, as you seem to know already. I will mention only cleaners which offer a usable free version, but there are also paid-only programs. I suggest you try: Wise Registry cleaner (www.wisecleaner.com/wise-registry-cleaner), Glary Registry Repair (www.glarysoft.com/registry-repair), and/or CCleaner (www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download). You may also find IObit's "Advanced SystemCare" (http://www.iobit.com/advancedsystemcareper.php) useful, but you need to watch what it does. It sometimes tries to change settings or disable functions which you may not want done. Click through all the tabs and check each item it wants to do, especially in the optimization section, before you let it continue.
