∙ 13y ago'Consumers' are all living animals, because they eat 'producers' (grass, leaves, etc. that make their own food) to gain energy. They are the same in the way of that they both are involved in food chains and food webs; there has to be at leas one consumer and one producer in every one. They both take in energy - consumers from producers, producers from the sun.
