The Canadian Shield is a large Plateau that occupies more than 40% of the land area of Canada;It extends from the Great Lakes to the Artic Ocean
Some of it is really old, 4.5 Billion years old. Some is only half a billion. It is also rich in many minerals including copper, silver and gold.
Lots of Granite and gneiss, and very old, some of it more than 4 billion years.
I only know 1 - It first formed over 2 billion years ago .... Sorry that's all I know .... If you know any more, plz do add them ....
