Birds cannot "talk", they mimic sounds. But some birds that can mimic sounds with a long time of training are Parakeets, Cockatiels rarely, African Grays, usually any kind of Parrot.

Parrot
It appears to be a Sand Piper (bird). I am not too familiar with bird breeds.
It depends on what bird you are talking about. For example, an eagle is a carnivore while a vulture is a scavenger. Most birds are omnivores, but some are just carnivores.
Breeders incubate fertilized eggs of various breeds and raise them.
It all depends on the animal. If it is an ostrich for example, the egg will be very big because the bird is very big. If it is a chicken, the egg is small because the bird is small. So it all depends on the animal's size.

For a pet bird not to be scared of you you would have to hand tame them, though it is much easier to tame a pet bird when they are young/a baby. Some bird breeds however you cannot tame, such as Finches and Canaries, but birds like Cockatiels, Budgies and breeds of Parrots are great "hand" pets to own. You would be better off talking to an avian or someone who is an expert on taming birds. TRY GOOGLE! Good luck, and hope I helped :)
