string theory
There is no 'why' for"Why was there aBig Bang to start the universe." The Big Bang is just one of many theories and beliefs that our universe had a beginning in SpaceTime. It is justa conceptual abstraction of SpaceTime via people that all existence evolved from some prior causation.

evolution,the big bang theory
Some other theories humans have devised are:The Big Bang theory of cosmological expansionThe theories of general and special relativityThe germ theory of diseaseAtomic theory and quantum mechanics
Some astronomers enjoy debating fine points of the Big Bang theory, but virtually all astronomers and astrophysicists accept it as the likely origin of our current universe.
Some major theories in science include the Big Bang Theory, the theory of Global Warming, and the Theory of Evolution.
There are many reasons why people might not believe in the Big Bang Theory; i.e. some reasons are religious and spiritual, while others are conflicted about rivals cosmological theories, and some just either do not understand or misunderstand the concepts.
According to some cosmological theories, there is not a single universe but several - even infinitely many - universes. However, they are diverged at the Big Bang and the start of time. It is, therefore, unlikely that anyone will ever be able to find a parallel universe, much less travel to it.
Nobody knows. "Why" questions about the Big Bang tend to be unanswerable. There are some theories, but we may very well never know which if any of them is correct. I agree but the big bag seems to contradict many science principals
This is an area of active research. Some serious theories say they might exist, but so far, none have been found.but if they exist,we will find it in BIG BANG
Some of them are 1) Big Bang Theory 2) Super string theory 3) General Relativity 4) Special Relativity 5) Quantum Theory
Events in the Universe are often dated from the Big Bang. But the fact is, NOBODY KNOWS what (if anything) happened before the Big Bang. The Big Bang MAY have been the start of time itself; but it is possible that the Universe existed (in some form) forever in the past.
