Our Blessed Lord told them to do a lot of things. Read the Gospels, a lot of it is contained in there. Actually, the entire Bible is the Word of God, which is another name for Our Blessed Lord, so all of it is what He told them to do. The rest of it is contained in the teachings of the Catholic Church, as He, Himself, said: “He who hears you hears me, and he who rejects you rejects me, and he who rejects me rejects him who sent me.†(Luke 10:16)
Jesus wanted his disciples to spread the word of Christianity, his teachings and messages, he wanted to spread the gospel (story).
Be witness to Him. Tell everybody of His will.
Jesus told them to forsake everything and to follow him.
Jesus is our great mediator. He stands between us and the Father in Heaven. Jesus tells us in the New Testament that nobody goes to the Father but though Him. That's why at the end of most prayers you will hear these words 'We ask these things in Jesus' name'. That's how we are told to pray, all things through Jesus. So it is through the Son that we know of the Father.
We are not told where Caiaphas was during the Crucifixion of Jesus. Matthew 27:41 tells us that some of the chief priests were there at the cross mocking Jesus. Perhaps (but we don't know) Caiaphas was among them.
Jesus was a special man who did what the Lord God told him to do. We can be reminded about Jesus and God's love through many things like the Bible, people's love and care, miracles and the beautiful world God has made.
We assume that Jesus first spoke generally when he was a very small child learning to speak. Other than that we are told that Jesus at twelve years of age was talking to some teachers in the temple about spiritual things (Luke 2:41-50). . When He first began talking about spiritual things other than this we do not know.
We are not told where Caiaphas was during the Crucifixion of Jesus. Matthew 27:41 tells us that some of the chief priests were there at the cross mocking Jesus. Perhaps (but we don't know) Caiaphas was among them.
Well Jesus is the Saviour of mankind, Son of God. Bet you knew that already so here's something new: Jesus was Gay, yup some fruit at my UCC told us He had it going on with Simon Peter.
The main focus that Jesus showed and told us about is 'The Father.'
jesus told us, if one is not cleasned of dirt one is dirty
There are many quotations that tell us about Jesus and they are all in the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. Jesus himself once told two of his disciples of all the quotations in the Old Testament concerning himself - "And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself." (Luke 24.27)
I think you are referring to John 14.1, where Jesus told his disciples not to be troubled. Why he told them this, i think is answered in the remainder of that verse, - "ye believe in God, believe also in me." When we truly believe in Jesus, why should be troubled at anything? Jesus loves us!
He told us to give to the poor, because by doing so we are also doing to Him.
He told us to "Love others as well as you love yourself." (Mark 12:31)
