She was held hostage for 4 years by colonists, converted to Christianity, changed her name to Rebecca, and married John Rolfe. She went to England with him, had a baby boy and died about age 19. She is buried in England. When John Smith wrote his book after her death he made up the story about her saving his life. He never knew her and he didn't stay in Jamestown very long because he was attacked. Someone sprinkled gunpowder on him while he slept and set it on fire,so he had to go home to get the burns treated.
she learned from the things that happened
when Pocahontas was a child her father had some of the Indians educate her and give her smarts
Pocahontas explored a great many things including her environment that she lived in. She also explored human affairs with the English people.
some believe that Pocahontas was born April 17th 1894
She had to risk her life in saving John Smith's life and she struggled with disease before she died. Seriously, I am just using my prior knowledge from the past, not the movies or books.
