A President can be elected to two terms. It does not matter if the terms are directly sequential (back to back) or not. And it's probably good for the president to wear a tie too!
As of March of 2016, he is not a president, only a candidate. We won't know what kind of president he will be until when and if he is elected.

In order to get elected you have to have the support of a political party . You have to have enough political sense to wage a successful campaign with the help and advice of professional politicians. However, you do not have to be a career politician. Several generals have been elected without previous experience in politics - W. H. Harrison. Taylor, Grant and Eisenhower. Hoover was an engineer who had never before run for office although he had served in Washington as a cabinet member.
