First off I can tell you I have had psoriasis for over twenty years. I heard that it is not curable but mine is the least it has ever been.
I contribute it to 3 things.
A modification to my diet...just eating more fruits and veggies (more alkaline diet).
Second I have been using an over the counter "ointment - multi system psoriasis relief" with 2% coal tar. This MUST be applied before showering or getting wet.
Third, this is toughest of all, I have cut out normal bread products (very limited starches like rice and potoes) . The only bread I have is made from sprouted wheat...make your own or you can find it pre-cooked but in the frozen section of most larger supermakets.
I did not do the above and get results over night. It took several months and the food mods were done for other reasons. Regression of the psoriasis was just a very welcome by product.
I wish I could show you before and after pictures... but I was too embarassed to take any before.

Can diet choices relieve the symptoms of psoriasis? Some medical experts say yes. A diet developed by chiropractor John Pagano has became well-known among psoriasis patients. Pagano suggested that some foods damage the body's ability to eliminate toxins. His recommended diet includes lots of water, apples and other high-fiber foods and a variety of herbs. Foods to avoid include processed foods, salty or sweet snack foods, acidic fruits like tomatoes and citrus, and pickled or smoked products. While Pagano's diet is popular with some patients, many dermatologists dismiss it. Mainstream medicine has no firm recommendations on diets for psoriasis patients.
