Next logical question is "up to which temperature"?
This is an ''adjustment''. And you have to set it on your thermostat. The answer is therefore no.
Even if the thermostat is in another room, you are releasing some heat out that open window. This means that the furnace (or boiler) will have to run longer to make up for that loss of heat, and the room in which the thermostat is located will take longer to come up to the set point of the thermostat. The HVAC Veteran

Only if it has a thermostat and if you also have a humidifier in the same room.
Heat a wet washcloth or small towel in the microwave for just a minute or so. then drape it over the thermostat and enjoy the cold air. also, place a small lamp under the thermostat and let the heat from the bulb cause it to think it is warmer in the room that it actually is.
The sun Makes rooms heat up
you walk on the thermostat until the ball in the center of it turns red. this will make the heat vent turn on(in cjs room) and you will be able to jump on pieces of trash and get on cjs bed.
The wattage of electric base board heaters does not change because the thermostat is set on low. The wattage is a fixed value on the heater because of its internal resistance element. The thermostat set on low shuts off at a lower temperature than a thermostat that is set on high. It is the time interval that governs the amount of heat that the heater produces when the thermostat calls for heat. Once the room heats up to the temperature that the thermostat is set at, the heater shuts off. The thermostat is just a temperature switch.
The thermostat is in CJ's room near the shelf by the computer.
The room was too hot so I adjusted the heating thermostat.
