Flutes are wind instruments as are many other musical instruments but I don't think it has a "scientific" name. There are other names for small flutes but not ordinary flutes.
Well, there are many diverse instruments and a question like "What are the names of the music instruments called?" Is too broad and also has very bad grammar. Some are listed:BrassTrumpetTromboneSaxophoneFrench HornTubaWoodwindClarinetFluteOboeBassoonPercussionClavesTriangleDrumsEgg ShakersTimpani (Kettle Drum)PianoStringsHarpViolinCelloDouble BassGuitars in generalViolaetc.

All instruments are breakable. Some more than others. The brass instruments get dented easier than wind instruments but wind instruments reed break often and corks and stuff like that. It really just depends on how you treat your instrument. Even percussion instruments break if you're too rough with them.
If you're talking about meterology and the weather, the instrument that measures the wind is called an Anemometer. However, in terms of musical instruments, they are plainly refered to as the Wind Instruments, but can be further divided into two groups, the Brass Instruments and the Woodwind Instruments.
In the Philippines, the native wind instruments are various types of flutes. The flutes are made mostly of bamboo and have three to six holes. The Tumpong and Bansik are just two of the flutes used in the Philippines.
