Cumulus are the kinds of puffy clouds toddlers draw in pictures. They mean sunny, nice, happy weather. Cumulonimbus clouds mean thunderstorms, and they are often called Thunderheads because of that. Cumulonimus clouds are very tall and puffy. And last but not least, cirrus clouds mean a change in the weather, but they occur on sunny days. Fun Fact: Cirrus means" wisp of hair" in Latin.
Cumulo-nimbus clouds. Sometimes they grow so tall that they develop an 'Anvil' (flat) top at icing level.
Cb or cumulonimbus clouds form at the cold font associated with heavy showers, followed by cumulus (Cu) clouds. A cold front forms when a more dense, warm air mass over a departing cold air mass
Tornadoes are produced by thunderstorms called supercells which consist of enormous towering cumulonimbus clouds. These tall clouds block out a large amount of sunlight.
