1. don't use one side of your chopsticks for serving yourself and eating.
2. don't go in the house with shoes
3. don't wear your inside slippers to the bathroom, there should be another pair by the door.
4. don't give others green tea unless at a funeral
5. if you're a girl, sit with your legs tucked in behind you, if you're a boy, sit cross-legged at a chair-less table, don't switch styles of sitting (or kneel, I guess)
6. don't wear sliplers in the tatami room.
7.don't forget to give gifts to your neighbors after a trip (this one isn't a huge deal)
8. don't give yourself too much wasabi or soy sauce at a dinner
9. don't put your chopsticks in a rice bowl with them sticking up.
10. don't open gifts in front of the giver, or right away
