Cell membrane: surrounds the cell and controls the movement of materials in and out of the cell. Cytoplasm: a gel-like substance where most of the cell's activities take place. Chloroplasts: organelles that contain chlorophyll and are responsible for photosynthesis in plant cells.
Chloroplast ^.^
The main organelles inside plant cells are the cell wall, chloroplasts, and large central vacuole. In animal cells, the main organelles are the nucleus, mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum, and golgi apparatus. Both plant and animal cells also contain structures like the cytoplasm, cell membrane, and ribosomes.
Chloroplasts and a cell wall are two structures that would be present in a cell from the leaf of a French bean plant but not in a human cheek cell. Chloroplasts are responsible for photosynthesis, while the cell wall provides structural support and protection to plant cells.
The animal cell has only 3 main types of cell 'ingredients' (cytoplast, cell surface membrane and the nucleus), whereas the plant cell has twice that many (chloroplast, cell wall, vacuole, cytoplasm, nucleus and the cell surface membrane).
The major differences between plant cell and animal cell :-Animal cell-1. Cell wall is absent in animal cells.2. Chloroplasts and other plastids are generally absent.3. Glyoxysomes are absent in animal cell.4. Centrioles and centrosome in their cytoplasm is present.5. During cell division it forms amphiastral spindle.Plant cell-1. Cell wall is present in plant cell.2. Chloroplasts and other plastids are present.3. Glyoxysomes may be present in plant cell.4. Centrioles and centrosome are absent in plant cell.5. During cell division it forms anastral spindle.
#1. Cytoplasm-A gel like substance residing within the cell membrane holding all the cell's internal sub-structures. #2. Cell membrane- A membrane that regulates the passage of materials between the cell and it's surroundings. #3. DNA-Every cell use DNA as it's genetic information.
The three main structures of a neuron are the cell body (soma), dendrites, and axon. The cell body contains the nucleus and other organelles, the dendrites receive signals from other neurons, and the axon transmits signals to other neurons or cells.
1.It maintains the shape of the cell 2.It provides structural strength to the plant 3.It protects the plant cell from mechanical injury and from pathogens (bacteria, fungi) 4.It provides a path way for exchange of materials between two adjacent cells
The cell is 1/3 of a millimeter.
