The 4 September earthquake was caused by movement along the Greendale fault (a break in the rocks below the earth's surface) near to Christchurch. It happened when the forces within the earth became greater than the friction holding rocks together. As the rocks moved the vibrations caused the ground to shake. The fault had been hidden below the gravels of the Canterbury Plains.

the 4 processes rocks go through are erosion, weathering, uplift, and deposition
Rocks may be broken physically into smaller pieces. They may also be broken as a result of change in chemical composition. The breaking down of rocks (either physically or chemically) at or near the earth's surface is called weathering. Rocks are weatherd in different ways such as: 1.Weathering of rocks by water 2. Weathering of rocks by the wind 3. Weathering of rocks by plants 4. Weathering of rocks by animals 5. Weathering of rocks by the people

1. Do the beak with your hand outstretched, your palm down, your 4 fingers together and move your thumb up to your middle finger in a beak motion about 4 times. 2. put your hands under their own armpits in the "chicken wing" and flap them up and down. 3. wiggle from side to side while squatting and wiggling your butt like a tail. 4. I think that you are looking for "EROSION"? Erosion consists of many forces of nature. For instance: 1. Rain 2. Wind (blowing particles) 3. Freezing (water expanding into ice in cracks) 4. Thawing 5. Flowing water (rivers, etc) 6. Etc
The 4 forces of Flight are: Gravity,Drag Force,Lift and Thrust
The names of the universal forces are: 1. Electromagnetic Forces 2. Strong Nuclear Force 3. Weak Nuclear Force 4. Gravitational Force The strongest of the 4 universal forces is Strong Nuclear Force. The weakest of the 4 universal forces is the Gravitational Force.
