The problem with this question, and others like it, is that it demands a certain number of things, and also uses 'the' as if to say that these characteristics completely define the thing in question.
This is however a problem because a characteristic is a conventional notion, and only a very few number of things can ever be completely defined in a few words. Then there is the problem that the characteristics that are eventually given are not disjunct, meaning that one of them encompasses another one.
As an example, let us look at the question at hand, the 4 unique (!!) characteristics of time. You can ask different people the same question and you will get different answers. How are you sure there are exactly four?
How about 4 unique characteristics?
-It is a dimension.
-It is spelled 'time' in English.
-Special relativity allows only for one way travel (this one is actually suspect).
-Clocks measure its passage.
But I could easily add a few more:
-It is interwoven with space.
-It slows down near gravitating bodies.
And what does unique mean? Does it mean that the characteristics need to be disjunct (i.e. not dependent upon each other) or that each of the characteristics is unique for time? In the latter case just one characteristic would be enough to define time, in the former case one can easily add nonsense (but disjunct) characteristics.

The statement "all music is in 4/4 time signature" is not accurate. While 4/4 time signature is common in many genres of music, there are numerous other time signatures used in music, each with its own unique feel and characteristics. The significance of this statement lies in highlighting the prevalence of 4/4 time signature in music, but it is important to recognize the diversity and complexity of time signatures in musical compositions.
That would be an atom. Atoms go down to protons, neutrons and electrons, but these do not have unique characteristics. So, the smallest particle with unique characteristics is an atom.
The beautiful color it has, the way it grows, and it last along time!

The 4 elements of voice are pitch (how high or low a sound is), intensity (the volume or loudness of the sound), quality (the characteristics that make each voice unique), and duration (the length of time a sound is sustained).
Some characteristics that make a person interesting and unique are the ability to take some risks and curiosity. A good sense of humor and creativity are other characteristics that make someone unique.
