A baby leopard gecko will usually take well to just two or three 1/4" inch crickets a day. Once the animal is reaching adulthood, they do not require a feeding everyday. Four times a week is usually recommended for adult leopard geckos.

You do not have to feed your leopard gecko just crickets, you can feed your leopard gecko mealworms as a main staple of the diet also. You can also feed your leopard geckos waxworms as a treat, you want to be stingy with these because your leopard gecko can get addicted to the waxworms and not eat anything else. Hope I helped! They will eat just about any small insect when hungry, care should be taken to ensure that they are not able to eat any poisonous insects. Spiders are generally fine, but eating certain caterpillars are most definitely not good for geckos - or any other lizard.

To be honest, no the reason is they are flighty and move so fast its incredible! I would suggest a Leopard gecko, they love to be handled, the only problem is they tend to eat crickets. And there is always Corn Snakes, They need a 2 foot long enclosure and may need a bigger tank when they are fully grown (5-7 feet) for leopard gecko you need the same size tank and that would suit him or her forever. Hope this helps Good Luck!
