These positions must all be held by an entrepreneur. However as their company grows they should separate these tasks to different experts in their field.
An entrepreneur isn't like most jobs, making it hard (if not impossible) to give an accurate estimate (or average) salary. Some self-called "entrepreneurs" think they have what it takes, only to find out that they don't. Entrepreneurs in this category obviously have a very low (meaning somewhere between $1,000 and $10,000 in any given year) if not negative salary (losing money). That is not a lot of money to make if one considers him/herself an entrepreneur as their career and life profession. Some entrepreneurs however, have wild success and do very well. Take Mark Zuckerburg into consideration (creator of Facebook). Mark is an American entrepreneur who co-founded the social networking site Facebook with classmates Dustin Moskovitz, Eduardo Saverin, and Chris Hughes while attending Harvard University. While many consider his education to be a failure due to dropping out of Harvard in 2004 (almost 8 years ago at the time of writing [2010]), it is clear that he is a successful entrepreneur. He now has a net worth nearing $7 billion. If you divide his current net worth by how much he has been working on Facebook, you find that his "annual salary," if you will, is nearly one billion US dollars ($1,000,000,000 per year). The true answer to this question is that there isn't an average salary for an entrepreneur, it is way too ambiguous of a profession.
