Muslims, have only 5 ways that reflect Islam and not eight.
1. Shahadah- the declaration of faith
2. Salat- Pray- pray five times a day
3. Zakat- Giving Charity, if a man or a women work they have to give money out of their wages.
4. Sawm- fasting during the month of ramadan-ramadhan- this happens every year for one month.
5. Hajj- Hajj is a pilgrimage to makkah the holy place where the prophet muhammad pbuh was and built the kabbah. Also he is placed in makkah in a beautiful place, none can go in and see his dead body.
If someone has enough money they can go on Hajj, it is said at least once in a life time each and every muslim has to performe the pilgrimage hajj. if they do have money but there health is weak they should just give money to the less fortunate and then they can performe hajj and you can get good blessings. Just for doing that.
The main thing in Islam is that every muslim has to believe that Allah is the One and Only God- Allah( arabic for God) and that Muhammad pbuh is the last prophet and is the messanger of God-Allah.
Hope that helps

Muslims. There are two sub-branches, Shia and Shi'ite. *Note: Shia and Shi'ite can be spelled many different ways.
They claim that they follow a variant of Wahhabi Sunni Islam of the Hanbali School. However, a number of Muslims will argue that they are not "true" Muslims because they are violent and have repeatedly killed other Muslims in brutal ways.
In short islam expanded through various (non-violent) ways, such as in malaysia Islam came there by trading as muslims from makkah went over there and showed the honesty and trade rules which Islam set which they did not follow before Islam, They were impressed by the trading teachings and converted. The reason it spread is because for muslims it is a duty for them to spread it and show others what islam has to offer.
one way is meca is the center of worship for muslims
When prophet Muhammad styarted calling for Islam, slavation was widespread every where. However, Islam teachings called for limiting slavation gradually and made liberation of any slave as one of the best ways to be closer to God and closer to his mercy. Currently, slavation (of Muslims or non Muslims) is forbidden.
Both nations are dominated by Sunni Muslims. Sunni Islam, roughly translated as "orthodox Islam" is the original and most popular form of Islam. About 90% of all Muslims are Sunnis as well as the near whole of converts into Islam. Shi'ite Muslims are usually found in central Iran, Iraq and parts of Lebanon. In Pakistan and Afghanistan, Shi'ites do exist, but they are an extreme minority, and often do not pertain to the major branch of Shi'ite Islam, the "Ith'na Asriah" or The Twelvers. Many practice Islam in ways influenced by hindi-pagan tradition.
Islam influenced West Africa in various ways. Most of the countries in West Africa took up the beliefs and living styles of the Muslims and they forfeited their traditional beliefs for their new-found faith.
For many reasons , Just to pray and praise Allah ( GOD ) , Perform "Umrah" which is one of the ways Muslims can worship their GOD , Perform Hajj which is the 5th pillar if Islam .
Calling non-Muslims towards Islam is called Dawah. It is incumbent in Islam for believers to call upon non-believers toward the path of truth and righteousness. "Invite (all) to the way of thy Lord, with wisdom and beautiful preaching, and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious!" [Al-Qur'an 16:125]
Protestantism is part a type of Christianity, though Christianity and Islam are in some ways, similar. The main difference is about Jesus (Muslims believe is a prophet, not the Son of God, like in Christianity). Protestantism believes in simplicity and, in some ways, so does Islam. However, Muslim mosques are quite elaborate, whereas in Protestantism, they are very plain.
In order to convey the message of Islam, dialogue and debate become inevitable. The Glorious Qur'an says:"Invite (all) to the way of thy Lord, with wisdom and beautiful preaching, and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious!"[Al-Qur'an 16:125]In conveying the message of Islam to a non-Muslim, it is usually not sufficient to highlight only the positive nature of Islam. Most non-Muslims are not convincedabout the truth of Islam because there are a few questions about Islam at the back of their minds that remain unanswered. They may agree with your contentions about the positive nature of Islam. But, in the same breath, they will say - "Ah! But you are the same Muslims who marry more than one woman. You are the same people who subjugate women by keeping them behind the veil. You are fundamentalists, etc."Whenever you ask a non-Muslim, "what do you feel is wrong in Islam? Sometimes there maybe circumstances where one may have to face some criticism, so he must patiently encounter such a scenario and try to resolve the matter with utmost grace and wisdom. If possible one should personally prefer asking the non-Muslims upfront, with their limited knowledge, whether right or wrong, from whichever source it may be, what they feel is wrong in Islam. It is highly encouraged in the religion to be very frank with them and open and nicely try and convince them towards the truth.Insha'Allah he will be successful, if not in convincing non-Muslims about the complete truth of Islam, then at least in removing misconceptions and neutralizing the negative thinking about Islam and Muslims that the non-Muslims may have.
In my opinion the two largest questions facing Islam today are: 1: How can Islam respond to the non-Islamic West in ways which enable co-operation. 2: How will the majority of Muslims deal with the radicals in their midst.
