Animals have a good use of the Appalachian mountains, though humans may have not. Some travelers use it for shade and shelter while passing the mountains, and they also might use that spot for mining.

If you wanted to get past the mountains, you would have to use the Beckwourth Pass in Montana.

Mostly everyone thinks it's useless, but nature-lovers think it's a wonderful place for peace and great views, plus cool landforms.
