There are several Scouting organizations in the UK:
There isn't a Boy Scout creed...but you may be referring to our oath or law.
The oath is:
On my honor, I will do my best, to do my duty to God and my country. To help other people at all times, to obey the Scout Law, and to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.
The law is:
A Scout is: Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent.
The Boy Scout Oath is recited while making the Scout Sign (index, middle, and ring fingers extended upward and close together):
: On my honor I will do my best : To do my duty to God and my country : and to obey the Scout Law; : To help other people at all times; : To keep myself physically strong, : mentally awake, and morally straight. In addition, the Boy Scouts have a Boy Scout Law ("A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent."), Boy Scout Slogan, ("Do a good turn daily.") and Boy Scout Motto ("Be prepared.")
On my honor, I will do my best to do my duty to God and my Country,
to obey the Scout Law to help other people at all times,
to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.
The UK scout motto is,
Be prepared.
"Be prepared" is the motto as written by Lord Baden-Powell and most Scouting and Guiding organizations around the world use this as their motto.
The BSA did not publish a true handbook until 1911. In 1910 Seton did put together a temporary book that was a combination of material from Baden-Powels Scouting for Boys and some of Seton's own writings known as the "Original Edition".
The 1911 "First Edition" of BSA handbook (The Handbook For Boys) lists the motto a "Be Prepared". Baden Powell's 1908 "Scouting For Boys" also says that a scout's motto should be "Be Prepared".
So I have not been able to locate the text of the 1910 edition, however, it appears that the motto has been constant from prior to the BSA until now and so I doubt the 1910 edition differs.
The Boy Scout symbol (the Fleur-de-lis) remonds us of the symbol used on many maps to sugnify the north compass point. This remonds us that scouts strive to be on the right path both figuratively and literally. The three points stand for the three duties of scouts; to ourselves, others and God.
The Boy Scout slogan is, "Do a good turn daily."
The motto, which is often confused with the slogan, is, "Be prepared."
