Humans have what you say a special bond between God, whereas animals don't. Jesus is our "connector".When God made Adam, the first man on earth, and he was totally perfect. God planted the Tree Of Life where you learn the good things, and the bad things.
Adam disobeyed, and the bond between them broke, because Adam thought he was good all by himself.
But now Jesus had "mend" our broken line and we humans are saved.
