The difference between the PT Cruiser Touring Edition and the Limited Edition are related to the trim package. The Limited Edition has a different bumper, grill, and scalloping in the passenger compartment along with some extra electronics.

You would need to use the engine, computer, exhaust, and wiring harnesses from the non turbo.
Engine, 4.5 quarts. Transmission, 9 quarts.
Chrysler PT cruiser 2000 - 2005 came with different trim levels, 1) Base Model 2) Touring Edition 3) Limited Edition 4) GT (turbo) Various options could be ordered on any of the vehicles, however there are standard features which seperate the packages. For your specific question (Difference in the touring and the base): The Base wil never have a sunroof, or fog lights or a security system, as these were never offered as an option on the base model. The Touring will have the following standard features which are not availabe on the base unless ordered as options. Power Mirrors Cruse Control Cigarette Lighter (or power socket) Fog Lights Outside Temp Ignition Disable/Secruity System with Panic Alarm Touring Suspension 16" Alloy Wheels I have a Limited Edition 2001 A friend has a 2001 Touring Edition the ONLY differences between ours is the upholstery. his being cloth, mine being fancy. I know someone with the the base edition (5 speed) which does not have Cruse Control, Power Mirrors, Cigarett Lighter (power socket front or rear), Fog Lights, Outside Temp indicator, Security System with Panic Alarm (but does have ignition disable and a chip controlled key), and it has 15 inch stamped Steel wheels with wheel covers. During the production of the PT Cruiser, there were changes to these options packages, and as time moved foreword the models became more specific. Initially (2001) there were only a base and limited models. What later became the Touring and GT were in response to customer requests which later became versions of the vehicle.

You can find the crusier control on the back of the right side of the stering wheel but not to far back, if you have cruise control. The cruise control is an opition; standard on the touring, limited, and GT edition.
