- A student prepares to do a 5-page book report by reading the book, deciding what important theme the book held, writing his ideas about the book's theme, then writing several drafts of a book report before turning in his paper.

The unstructured decisions are the non-programmed decisions that are happening for the first time. For instance, dealing with a labor strike in a factory.
