This is a graduate degree that one receives after first completing an undergraduate program, usually majoring in psychology. Having received the Psychology degree, you can then go on for the Master's degree, either in Counseling or Counseling Psychology. It generally takes two years to receive the Master's, during which time you will be probably be expected to work in an internship at a social service agency. Argosy University offers 23 online degree programs in four subject areas. The school's primary focus is on post graduate programs, with only four undergraduate programs on offer. Alliant is a private, nonprofit university that has 5 campuses in California and 1 in Mexico City.
