Simple stomach and short intestine enables the panda to eat the bamboo.
Can retract its claws like a cat while running or walking so keep them sharp.
Eats at night to avoid preditors.

They use their bushy tails to wrap around them and stay warm and to keep themselves balanced. They have opposable thumbs for grasping bamboo and only eat the leaves. The reddish brown fur and white tear marks on the face help it camoflauge into the trees that are covered with red moss and white lichen. They are also very solitary and territorial.

Red Panda feeds at night, this allows the panda to take its time while catching its prey, this also means that the panda does not have to worry about predators during its hunt.

Like giant pandas, red pandas must feed often and extensively because they possess the simple digestive tract of a carnivore and are thus inefficient processors of their cellulose-heavy bamboo fodder. They may spend 13 hours a day foraging on bamboo, and do their best to conserve energy on this low-nutrition diet
