Acording to the video "Guide to GSR Biofeedback Techniques for the Natural ADHD Practitioner by Jason Alster , a GSR signal is labile in ADHD students and shows stress when an ADHD student is trying to sit still for a few minutes in a eyes open and an eyes closed condition. The GSR can be a measure of relaxed concentration in ADHD and test anxiety. Also , the GSR is taken from the skin and the skin is an organ that covers the whole body so it represents stress effects on the whole body. The advantage is that as a biofeedback signal it is easy to learn to control stress from it as a psycho physiological parameter

Galvanic skin response (GSR) sensors. These are electrodes placed on the fingers that monitor perspiration, or sweat gland, activity. These may also be called skin conductance level (SCL).

Galvanic skin response is an involuntary reaction of the autonomic nervous system.
GSR, Galvanic, Skin Response, also known as Skin conductance is a method by which one measures the conductivity of one's skin which varies with the level of moisture.
this is caused by the response of the skin and muscle tissues to external and internal stimulii. Can be caused to people who are sensitive to emotions, fear and anger for example. Detectors can measure this response by passing small electric shocks between two points on the skin
