What are the advantages of change?

If there is anything stead-fast and unchanging it is change itself. Change is inevitable; it's going to happen regardless. The issue is how we handle change that will either promote positive or negative change. One problem we face today is that people get used to working within their own little silo and become comfortable with a status quo mentality. Once this become well ingrained, they become resistant to change and therefore growth does not occur. They are not cognizant of how others are affected by what they do or do not do. It is like dropping a pebble in a pond. It creates ripples, and those ripples fan out and affect the whole pond directly or indirectly, either in a positive or negative way. That being said let us look at your request in terms of the advantages of change which could include:

• Opportunity for growth

• Opportunity to create new and efficient methodology and systems of approach to problem solving and solution finding to the challenges we face today.

• Change reduces the status quo mentality, and can facilitate growth in a positive way.

• Change can promote systems thinking rather than a linear approach to create positive change.

• Can create risk management and contingency systems to safe-guard successful vertical movement, and succession.

• Change can also promote flexibility.

• Appropriate change can respond to negative internal and external driving forces.

• Change gives the opportunity to develop solid strategic planning and tactical maneuvers.

The above are just some advantages off the top of my head; there are many more if you take a critical thinking approach.
