Shakespeare wanted to let the audience/readers of the story to imagine what the fairy world looked like. And alot of the characters in a Mid Summer Night's Dream wouldn't exist if it wasn't a fairy world, now, would they?

Having a fairy tale world in "A Midsummer Night's Dream" allows for magical elements such as love potions, transformation, and mischievous fairies to be woven into the story, creating a whimsical and fantastical atmosphere. This world also provides a contrast to the human world, highlighting themes of love, imagination, and the irrationality of emotions. Additionally, the fairy tale world allows for the exploration of ideas of order and chaos, dreams and reality, and the power of the supernatural.
