A series circuit only has one path for the electrons to travel, but a parallel circuit has multiple paths for them to travel in.

When a bulb goes out in a series circuit, the circuit breaks and all bulbs go out, but in parallel circuit, if a bulb breaks, the other bulbs stay on

If one receiver stops the energy flow, the other receivers can still work.

If we go for sending data through serieal and parallel port, we can send the entire data at a time in parallel but we want to send bit by bit in serial port, so sending data in serial port take more time compare to parallel
