Not everyone has the answer to every question. That is why there is an 'Unanswered' questions tab in every category.
There is an answer for every question - the problem is that humans might not be able to find that answer for every one of their questions.
If you consider answers like "That cannot be determined", "That is unknown", "The question is meaningless, nonsensical, illogical... and therefore doesn't have an answer" to be legitimate answers, then there is an answer for every question. It's not clear to me whether there is a question for every answer. It may depend how you define the word 'answer'. If answers by definition are responses to questions, then there is a question for every answer. But can every possible thing that can be imagined be the answer to a question? I do not know. There could be infinitely many of each, but there are different kinds of infinity. There are more questions than answers because not all questions that have been asked were answered, thus, questions are the majority.

There is tipically 5 questions an answers on the air brakes test in texas. Every other test except "genreal knowledge" test has 20 questions an answers. The genreal knowledge test has 50 questions an answers.

There are millions of questions and answers on Answers.com! People ask and answer questions every second of everyday. Even if we gave a number, it would increase before we got this answer posted.

Almost every answer that is flagged needs to be edited, and flagged questions are from every topic. Find a category and go to its homepage, find "flagged questions" in its blue side-bar, and find some answers you want to edit.

As of 11/15/2008:On average, 31,000 new questions are asked every day and about 8,000 new answers are added every day. Now the 8,000 new answers aren't necessarily related to the 31,000 new questions, this is just the average we get every day.
