To the extent that we have created artificial intelligence, it is used to give computers capabilities to do things that previously could be done only by humans. A fully intelligent computer would be able to do any mental function that a human being could do, and many that human beings cannot do. This would enable a level of automation that is far beyond anything we can do today.
