Atheists have only one core position - there are no gods or deities. Many share the belif that theists should think about their position a bit more carefully but this position is not required.
Atheism has no religious belief. We believe in proven demonstrable facts, we believe in ourselves.
atheism..... i think.
The standard definition of atheism is a lack of belief in gods. Ludwig Feuerbach wrote that atheism, "is the secret of religion itself; that religion itself, not indeed on the surface, but fundamentally, not in intention or according to its own supposition, but in its heart, in its essence, believes in nothing else than the truth and divinity of human nature." (The Essence of Christianity)
An Atheist is someone who dose not believe in the existence of God, and rejects any form of supernatural beliefs.
Atheist believe there is no god/gods, pantheism believes everything is god. Technically one can be both an atheist and a pantheist if one believes that everything is sacred/holy but not god (as some radical environmentalists do).
There is no such person. An agnostic is a person who believes that it is impossible to know/or is skeptical about the existence of God but does not profess true atheism. A Christian is a person who believes in the existence of God and has faith in God. So the phrase a 'Christian agnostic' has no meaning
Atheism..... i think.
The antonym of atheist is theist. An atheist is someone who does not believe that god(s) exist, or that there is no reason to believe that they exist. A theist is someone who believes that god(s) exist and that there is sufficient reason to believe that they exist.
It does not seem possible to be both. My understanding is that a theologian is a believer in God and a humanist believes in people/humans neither identifying with atheism or agnoticism
Atheism is a noun.
Atheism is the belief that there is no god.
There are no prophets of atheism.
