That would be difficult to say as in the society's where polygamy is permitted women are usually in a second class position. as a matter of fact they could get into deep trouble if they complained about their position. In western societys it is frowned upon for no more then cultural/ religious reasons and the fact is that the benefits or otherwise would vary from partnership to partnership.

The word marriage is not a plural form; the plural form for the noun is marriages. Or, perhaps you mean monogamy, the opposite of polygamy.
Polygamy can offer diverse emotional and financial support systems, as multiple partners can share responsibilities and resources. It may also provide individuals with a broader range of companionship and fulfillment, catering to different needs and preferences. Additionally, in some cultural contexts, polygamy can strengthen community ties and familial alliances. However, it's important to note that the benefits largely depend on the consent and dynamics of the relationships involved.
Monogamy is being faithful to one person sexually. Monogamy is uncommon in the animal world, except in animals (like humans) that require both parents help in order to successfully raise their young.
