I am actually one of the creators of Pokemon and i am here because i wanted to see what Pokemon you guys liked.But in my opinion well theese are the Pokemon i youse.Ok here they are.Also this is also for the game heartgold and soulsilver but i have soulsilver.

all theese guys are awesome but gengar and dragonight are beast gengar can just use hipnosis and dream eater a couple and i do mean a couple as in 2 and your opponent is dead and also gengar is also really fast and dragonight is just plane out good

Depends if you want to be competitive or if this is for in game. For competitive you should check out smogon.com. For in game which ever ones you like. Your starter will always be good along with one of the first few birds you see i.e. pidgey, hoothoot, wingull, tailow, spearow, depends on the version you play. Bugs and anything in a cave are a bit harder to train for in game. Anything evolving from Eevee is good too for ingame. Mainly just catch what you want.
