Hmph, this was my team when I fought the Elite four..in Ruby of course.

*Milotic Lv 61 (Feebas was HARD to find)

-Surf

-Ice Beam

-Dive

-Recover

*Gardevoir Lv 62

-Psychic

-Thunderbolt

-Calm Mind

-Shadow Ball

*Salamence Lv 62

-Earthquake

-Dragon Claw

-Fly

-Flamethrower

*Aggron Lv 61

-Earthquake

-Iron Tail

-Aerial Ace

-Double-Edge

*Gyarados Lv 62

-Dragon Dance

-Hyper Beam

-Earthquake

-Strength

*Blaziken Lv 65 @Sitrus Berry

-Blaze Kick

-Sky Uppercut

-Bulk Up

-Earthquake

-Sydney is easy. A Pokemon like Blaziken should have no problem. But do not try and set up against him (Bulk Up, Howl etc.) as he uses many moves such a sand-attack, double-team and swords dance to make your attacks miss, or his attacks even stronger.

-Phoebe is there just to waste your PP. Take out the Dusclops fast, and the rest of her team can be taken out easily. Just be careful of Grudge and Curse. Use mainly Dark or Ghost type moves, but as Dusclops' have very high defenses you will need a strong Pokemon to batter them.

-Glacia is the same as Sydney. Unfortunately Fire tyes can only be used against two of her Pokemon, so a better choice for this fight would be an electric or fighting Pokemon. Walrein can be a problem, so try and hit it with several electric moves or maybe paralyze/confuse/burn it.

-Drake could be a problem. At this point of the game, you should have Dragon or Ice type Pokemon, as you you could have caught Altaria, Flygon, Salamance, Walrein, Glalie and any other Pokemon that can learn ice-beam/dragon claw. I took the time to look for a Bagon in Meteor Falls, and a Feebas near the Weather Institute. Gosh, training those two were hard, but worth it. Drake's Salamence and Altaria could be a hassle but with a quad-weakness to Ice moves, they shouldn't pose too much of a threat. To get the Ice Beam TM, (TM13), exchange coins at the Mauville Game Corner or go to the Abandoned Ship on Route 108 (east of Dewford Twon). For Dragon-Type moves like Dragon Claw, you'll have to explore Meteor Falls.

-Steven is pretty good. His Skarmory can be taken out with powerful Fire/Electric type moves. His Cradily and Armaldo can be taken out by a powerful Steel-type like Aggron or by a good beating of strong attacks such as Ice-beam or Flamethrower*. His Claydol has good defenses, so you need a powerful Water-Type to take it out. Metagross knows Earthquake, so you'll have to counter it with your own Earthquake. Blaziken can do well against it, but take it out fast, cause it also knows Psychic to screw you over. Metagross covers its weaknesses well with earthquake but a quick fire/ground Pokemon should take care of it.

* Use Thunderbolt, Ice-beam and Flamethrower instead of Thunder, Blizzard and Fire Blast. They may have less power, but I just got so annoyed whenever I used the latter, as they all missed WAY too frequently.

During this trip, I only used a few Hyper Potions. If you want to know where I trained, it was at the Victory Road. Took me about 3 hours to get my team in the 60s. Hariyama is very good experience, but I overtrained my Pokemon- I have beaten the Elite 4 and the Champion with Pokemon leveled 45-48 before. Trust me, if you have a type advantage and enough items (15 revives, 15 full heals and 15 Hyper potions) you can easily defeat these trainers without needing to spend hours on your Pokemon team ^.^

AnswerFor the Pokemon league this was my team: Groudon, Blaziken, Mightyena, Salamence, Gardevoir and Breloom. I really recommend those Pokemon. Answerill recommend ground, rock Pokemon. they might be slow but they're really powerful. im also recommending absol and alakazam. absol has a high attack, whilst alakazam has a high sp.atk.

Answer

well...i have a good team. Not the best but can smash my friend's lv 100 lugia anytime. Milotic lv 99, Blaziken lv 99, Metagross lv 97, salamence lv 95, Rhydon lv 90, Raichu lv 97

awesome! won 85 battle tower touraments with blaziken metagrosss and milotic. A milotic is really good but getting a feebas is really hard. It took me 1 and a helf hours, just sweeping the water with an old rod.

Answer

I suggest Swampert for Ground and Water if you have Ruby or Blaziken if you have Sapphire. Both are very useful against Stephen. Get either Groudon, extremely powerful fire attacks if you have Ruby or Kyogre, extremely powerful water attacks, if you have Sapphire. Next, put in a flying type(I recommend either Altaria for more speed or Swellow for more power.) Then, have either an Agron or Golem for a great defense and they are both able to block fire attacks well. If you really want to, use Mightyena, really useful against the second of the elite four who has tons of ghost types, or another Pokemon that knows a dark-type move like Golbat, Sharpedo, or Umbreon. Lastly, use a psychic type for special attack.(I suggest Gardevoir or Alakazam.)

that would depend on your own opinion. it would probably be any one of the legendaries (latios, groudon, raquaza, the regis)

but then you must also remember that raquaza as an example is super weak against ice moves and other dragon type moves and every Pokemon has strong and weak points the trick is to have a good mixture of types so that you can face everything

A lot of people would say Mudkip. I say that’s hooey. Get Torchic. At the time Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald came out, he was the first and only Fire/Fighting type. then his final evolution, Blaziken, became so powerful and popular that the next couple of games ripped off his typing. Mudkip‘s final evolution is Swampert, the first and only Water/Ground-ty— Oh, no it’s not. Barboach evolves into Whiscash which is the same dual type, with the same moves, and with similar stats. Also, Blaziken has a wider move range and isn’t susceptible to 4x damage from

supereffective moves. Swampert is terrified of Grass, and rightfully so, because Grass whomps him and he’s too slow to unleash an Ice Beam or Blizzard before he’s hit with 4x damage—and you better hope that isn’t a critical hit. Then if the Grass-type survives an Ice-type attack? Goodbye, Swampert. Sceptile is speedy but Blaziken outspeeds him. Also Sceptile’s move pool is pretty restricted so there isn’t much going for him until the ORAS remakes, when he can mega-evolve into a Dragon-type and learn new, more powerful moves.
