There is no single correct answer to that question.

The best tire for any vehicle depends on the person driving and the use the vehicle is put to. For example: If you only putter around town and don't drive aggressively you could probably be happy with those rock hard five-for-one-hundred-dollar tires. If you do a lot of highway driving you might opt for a quiet tire or one that offers higher fuel mileage. Aggressive drivers who enjoy taking the car out on the twisties to work the suspension and enjoy the car a bit will want a softer compound with better traction (usually giving up some overall mileage).

So, consider the kind of driving you do, the sort of mileage you expect from the tire and your priceline. All those things considered you can choose the "best" tire for you.

Cheers

Michelin Hydroedge, good on snow or wet, great dry too. 90000 mile tire so worth the extra couple bucks. I have a 2000 Solara and have had since new. Your best source is a Toyota dealership. A possible alternative 'might' be an auto recycling yard but removing an ignition harness on a modern car intact could be difficult.

What is the best least expensive tire for a 2001 Toyota solara?

Check your local tire outlets for best pricing in your area. Maybe one or more will have a 'buy three tires get one free' sale going on. Those are fairly common in springtime. Be sure and check the sidewall of your existing tires for the size. There are two sizes used on Solara (you didn't say which you have in your question) and the price difference could be substantial. A caution. Tires, like brakes, aren't really something you want to cheap out on. They're the only thing you have going between you and the road so you depend on them for good traction (accelerating, turning and braking) plus water shedding in the rain or even if you only hit a puddle. They have to put up with potholes and bumps and be reasonably quiet. Cheap tires will probably give up some of those things...maybe even all of them.

Yes that is the "Sylvania" brand number for the fog lamps. Just do what I did ask the sales clerk which one is the best for the car. Good Luck.
