There are two caps in Dire Dire Docks in Super Mario 64. You can find them by going through the underwater tunnel in the first part. It is located to your left when you first come in. After you've gone through the tunnel, head to the surface, and look for the left end of the platform.
(Note: you can get both caps at once. Simply get the invisibility cap, and then get the metal cap)
It goes away after the first mission.
Go as close as you can to the shell and press B to grab it.
Bowser is located and battled three times in Super Mario 64 DS at the end of each of these locations. Remember that only Mario can access these areas: *Bowser in the Dark World: Requires twelve stars to enter. *Bowser in the Fire Sea: Requires thirty stars to enter and the completion of the first mission in Dire, Dire Docks (Board Bowser's Sub). *Bowser in the Sky: Requires eighty stars to enter.
Go to the Basement and go to the Star Door (30 Stars needed) then do a 1 level of Dire Dire Docks then the portal will back off to let you go into the hole. Your in a Lava World level. Beat Bowser then get the key. Now you can access to the 2nd floor.
Wheb trasfering the data from 64 to the d.s small things were lost in the process, some noticable others not, while transfering from the 64 to the d.s data regading the caps was probably lost.

It takes 8 stars to get into "Bowser in the Dark World" 8 stars to get into the "Cavern of the Metal Cap" 8 stars to get into "Vanish Cap under the Moat" 10 stars to get into "Tower of the Wing Cap" 10 stars to unlock the "Big Boo's Haunt" (unconfirmed) 30 stars to unlock "Dire, Dire Docks" The star from Bowser's submarine to get into "Bowser in the Fire Sea"
There are no power flowers in Super Mario 64. However, I do not if they exist in Super Mario 64 DS.
