We can find nothing in the literature to indicate a problem with paroxetine (Paxil) and hydrocodone. You should know, however, that hydrocodone exaggerates the symptoms of depression. Since paroxetine is often prescribed for depression and similar disorders, it would be a good idea to talk this over with your physician and/or pharmacist.

What is the side effect of taking lunesta with hydrocodone?

Taken together, there might be additional central nervous system and respiratory system depression, which could be bad. I personally think that the combination is quite enjoyable (it's prescribed by my doctor). They seem to achieve a kind of synergy, with the hydrocodone being potentiated (working better), and the lunesta effects being transformed subtly into the feeling of a rather large dose or valium.

CAN YOU TAKE Xanax combined with h-c tussive nr syrup?

It all depends on dosage, Xanax has depressant properties, as does Hydrocodone, while pseudoephedrine has an almost insignificant stimulant effect. The safest option would be to take one or the other. If you do mix the two, you risk causing yourself respiratory distress or failure through depression of the central nervous system. Xanax will interact with hydrocodone just as it does with alcohol and will enhance the effects of the opiate. Use extreme caution when combining the two and use a low doseage of both so as to avoid respiratory depression, which is where your Autonomic Nervous System becomes so depressed that it is unable to regulate or initiate breathing.

Should alcohol be used with hydrocodone apap 10 325?

Never, for several reasons. Acetaminophen and alcohol combined can cause liver damage. Hydrocodone used with alcohol can lead to severe central nervous system depression, coma and even death.

What is the main origin of the respiratory system?

What is pentazocaine's mechanism of action?

Pentazocaine acts on kappa-opioid receptors and partially acts on mu-opioid receptors of the central nervous system. This leads to the ascending pathway of pain being inhibited resulting in analgesia, sedating, and respiratory depression.

Can you take hydrocodone Darvon and prochlorperazine together?

Prochlorperazine may enhance the hypotensive effect (abnormally low blood pressure) of Darvon and hydrocodone. The benefits of combined use of these medications usually outweigh the risks and you should talk to your doctor if you have any concerns as dosage and timing do play a role in unwanted side effects. Also both Darvon and hydrocodone are central nervous system depressants and the use of these two drugs together should be monitored. Some side effects may include, but are not limited to, ataxia, confusion, drowsiness, respiratory depression, and weakness. Since both medications have the potential to depress CNS function it is important to recognize that the risk of unwanted effects may increase with such use.

Can lithium and Vicodin be mixed?

lithium and hydrocodone (Moderate Drug-Drug) MONITOR: Central nervous system- and/or respiratory-depressant effects may be additively or synergistically increased in patients taking multiple drugs that cause these effects, especially in elderly or debilitated patients.MANAGEMENT: During concomitant use of these drugs, patients should be monitored for potentially excessive or prolonged CNS and respiratory depression. Ambulatory patients should be counseled to avoid hazardous activities requiring complete mental alertness and motor coordination until they know how these agents affect them, and to notify their physician if they experience excessive or prolonged CNS effects that interfere with their normal activities.

Can you take vicodin and xyrem within 2 hours of each other?

I had the same question! I just called my pharmacy and they said under NO circumstances to take Xyrem and Hydrocodone (Vicodin) together. Both Xyrem and Vicodin are CNS (central nervous system) Depressants and taking both together could result in respiratory arrest and death.
