Certificate courses in aviation industry are , such courses which are of short duration, in the areas related to air crafts maintenance, ground support, safety, hospitality,aircrew, ticketing, etc.

Pilot training and Aircraft Maintenance Engineer and such courses wont come under certificate courses. They are license courses, because they have to have authorisation through a licence issued by DGCA or any such Govt authority after ensuring those candidates are fully worthy in all aspects of technicalities and safety.

In lay man's language, most of those people who expect to get a job quickly by doing a certificate course of durations ranging from one week to 12 weeks or 24 weeks. Those institutes who train them in the course will be authorised to issue Pass certificates to those who have qualified in those short courses which are accepted and valid for employment by various organisations in the Aero industry or services.

The general expectation about these certificate courses is that one should be able to get a job which is related to aircrafts and associated services.

Of course there are some certificate courses at a higher level of learning which are meant for learning in-depth in very specialised areas but those will be related to the subjects or the work in which a person is already involved for some time and would prefer to learn more about the changes or developments with the passage of time. Those courses are not for the first time jobbers. they only will enhance the working knowledge & improve the performance at the work place.

when a lay man takes in the order of priority from low to high, it will start from certificate course to Diploma to Degree to Masters and PhD.

Conclusion: certificate course is a short term course which will fetch a job immediately on completion of the course for those who have either completed their 10th class or 10+2.
