there are so many changes in The Sims 3.
*the seamless neighborhood. you can go anywhere and everywhere in the neighborhood. you can visit your neighbor, go to the park, meet new people, etc. w/c means that it has . . .
*no loading screens!! yes..
*other sims will age autonomously even if you dont play them. (im a bit sad about that part).
*you can follow your sims to work (but you cant see them work)
*you can customize your furnitures! yes they have a tool for that.
*the sims 3 have a lot of new personalities and you can choose up to 5 of them i think. not really sure how many personalities you can use per sim.
*new career tracks i think.. not sure
*there are moodlets instead of wants and fears. for example, your sim got fired from his job, he'll have a slow production until a certain time. if your sim got married to the love of his life then he'll be happy and be more productive!

No, but you can buy the sims 2 platform then the sims 2 seasons expansions back and there you have it! Even though the quality is not as good but seasons on sims 3 may come in the near future :)
