Most often the active ingredient found in alcohol is Ethyl Alcohol, chemical formula is C2H5OH.

This is the main ingredient and causes the CNS effects attributable to Alcohol. And there are varying contents of sugar, which depends on what fermenting process is used to make the alcohol. And other additives are used, which are as diverse as is the human-kind

The 'alcohol' is ethanol (or ethyl alcohol). Then there are all the preservatives, flavourings and colourings (diluted industrial dyes!), all the 'nasties' from the raw ingredients (arsenic, lead, polonium 210, etc), all the 'nasties' produced in the fermentation process......

Probably over 4,000 toxic chemicals, possibly including at least twenty carcinogens. Now where have I heard that before?

Given that pure alcohol is simply just alcohol it doesn't contain any more ingredients. The only ingredient in there is alcohol.
