∙ 10y agoThe dry cleaning industry used gasoline and kerosene for cleaning garments when dry cleaning was fairly new. Dry cleaners then moved on to use trichlorethylene and carbon tetrachloride. Now most dry cleaners use a solvent called perchlorethylene.
